A Short Spring

Hello and welcome to April.  The past few days have been awfully warm around here, and I'm seriously hoping we are not going to jump straight into summer.  Some of my eager shrubs with new and delicate growth have the new growth leaves burned with the overwhelming heat from the sun.  On the plus side, everything is becoming green and beautiful, and I'm looking forward to more beautiful weather in the coming weeks.

For those of you who've likely noticed, I've been somewhat AWOL these past couple of weeks.  It's always that way around tax season when it seems like everything both business and personal competes for "just a little bit" of my time.  The painted tee shirts are on hold until I can get through tax season and catch back up to a reasonable point with my chores.

In the store, I'm working on redoing my shipping charts and investigating ways to find lower shipping rates.  Since the USPS has (once again) revamped their system, I'm trying to find ways to get your packages delivered at a better rate.  It's a never ending process trying to keep up with the post office's changing services, rates and rules.  As a result of the new package classifications, I'm thinking of changing a substantial amount of my shipping to USPS Ground Advantage instead of Priority Mail in all cases where this will create a lower dollar amount for shipping.  Dare I say it, but I'm also considering offering free shipping on some items.  Because of the way my store is structured, I can only offer one shipping method, and I try to select the one that costs less and has a reasonable delivery time.  I am always happy to upgrade your shipping to a faster method (for an additional charge), so don't hesitate to contact me if you need your package faster.

I'm running as fast as I can on the treadmill and hope to have more exciting news before too much longer (including finally introducing my tee shirts).
