End of the Year Craziness (and Merry Christmas!)
Posted by Cherry Rose Cottage on Dec 1st 2024
Hello Friends and Welcome to the Merry Month of December!
My apologies for being away from the blog but the end of the year has presented me with many unexpected challenges this year. That said, hopefully things are now getting back on track, and I will be able to resume the blog as usual.
Well, it's that holly, jolly time of year again. Looking in the rearview mirror, it seems this year was just a blink and gone. Time moves so fast sometimes that it's hard to believe. For the first year in a while, I've put up my Christmas tree already and it's definitely a cutie! I found a beautiful vintage crocheted tree skirt at a farmer's market craft booth and was so excited to use it under the tree. I then found a cute little miniature tree at an antique store that was pre-lit with all red lights and placed it on a small Victorian table and decorated it in (you guessed it!) my favorite colors of pink and red. I found an amazing pink velvet dress ornament, as well as a furry snow white owl and some red sparkly dangling baubles to complete the decorations. Lastly, I added a scruffy, feathery vintage pink bird on the table underneath the tree. The whole display makes me feel very festive, so let the holiday spirit begin!
No matter how you celebrate Christmas, I hope yours is merry and bright in every way. As for me, let the Hallmark Christmas movies and sweet treats begin now!
Merry Christmas my friends! Thank you so very much for being here.
