Happy New Year 2023 - A New Beginning

Happy New Year and welcome to 2023.  I hope your holidays were filled with joy, family, friends and loads of laughter.  Whether we are ready or not, the new year is here.  I always view it as a new beginning, an opportunity to make a fresh start, a chance to do better. This month I want to share with you the changes that are happening at Cherry Rose Cottage.

As I look back over the years of being a small business owner, I am astonished at the amount of things you learn as you go along.  I am somewhat of a perfectionist and thankfully enjoy working with details and organization.  As time has progressed and I look back over the website, I now find some things in need of rejuvenation.  The first months of 2023 will be spent reorganizing and "sprucing up" the way the website is presented.  What this means for my customers is a better shopping experience by way of better photos, more ways to shop and a more personal shopping experience.

I am in the process of adding some things, removing some things, tweaking some things and, as always, thinking about ways to provide a better shopping experience for my customers.  Over the past weeks, I have added categories so that, in addition to size, you can now shop by color and shop by style.  I have also enabled customer reviews so you will have the opportunity to review your purchase and let other shoppers know of your experience shopping at Cherry Rose Cottage.  I always welcome your thoughts and comments and use your recommendations to help me improve.  As current customers are already aware, I enclose a special discount offer with your purchase that is only available to current customers and I will continue to send these out in 2023.  If you have signed up for the Cherry Rose Cottage newsletter, I plan to begin sending out special offers via email as soon as the website update has been completed.  In addition, the weekly sales events will continue in 2023 in order to provide an even better deal on the already great prices on the website.

In addition to all of the above, in 2023 I hope to begin focusing more on handmade and unique items as well as the crystal shoppe.  I have a fairly large inventory of crystal items to add to the store, as well as ideas for some original clothing creations I am anxious to begin.  I also have a large inventory of gently loved items to be added and will continue to offer these until my inventory is depleted.   It is likely Cherry Rose Cottage will always offer at least some selection of preowned and gently loved because I believe in shopping sustainably and saving perfectly good usable items from the landfill.  However, I also hope to offer a more generous selection of items in the crystal shoppe as well as in the handmade section of the store.

To all my customers in 2022, I thank you so much for your business and look forward to serving you in 2023.  To those of you who haven't shopped with me yet, I welcome you to the store and thank you for sharing your time with me and taking a look around.  I hope you will consider shopping small and shopping sustainably in 2023 and give Cherry Rose Cottage a chance to earn your business.  I care very much about my customers' shopping experience and satisfaction.
