Mookaite is a beautiful stone that has some of the brightest yellows and reds available in a natural mineral. I am usually drawn to the bright reds, yellows and creams of mookaite, but interestingly, you can also find mookaite in pinks & purples, as well as browns and creamy beige. Also known as Mookaite Jasper, its only known locality is in Western Australia. In traditional aboriginal language, "mooka" means running waters and describes the running springs in Western Australia where it is located and sourced. Mookaite is a grounding and calming stone and helps to foster a deeper connection with Mother Nature and also with animals. It can be helpful in times of stress and is perfect for meditation due to its calming nature. Mookaite has an energy that can be life transforming as it helps to bring the user to the "here and now" and encourages calm to face the challenges of the future with both anticipation and acceptance of change.
