Unakite is a type of granite with epidote, pink orthoclase and quartz inclusions. Its name is derived form the location of its discovery in the Unaka Mountains in North Carolina. Unakite connects with the heart chakra and may help to push out the negative energy we carry around with us. The epidote contained in unakite can strengthen the emotions you are feeling at any given time. If you are having a particularly bad day with lots of negative emotions, it may be best to connect with a different stone that day as you don’t want to strengthen negative emotions.
